by Alison Nichols & Richard Smith with Paul &
Susan Bowyer in 2nd place. The Non-Expert
Prize was won by Tracey Bridges-Webb & John
Nolan in 7th place.
Current Leaders in the Stanley Trophy (Butler IMPs Pairs)
after 3 Rounds are John Glover & Lyn Hilton (0.49) with Peter
Halford & John Milne (0.44) close behind. Best placed of
those who have played only two heats are Ian Bruce & Mick
Mahoney (0.78).
Current Divisional leaders in the League (Club Teams of
8) are: Div 1 - Clarendon 51/5; Div 2 - Westcotes A (43/5);
Div 3 - Westcotes B (39/5) Div 4 - Blaby B (42/4).
The Josephs Bowl (Championship Teams of Four) had 15
entries in Round 1 as did the Leicestershire Cup (Aggregate
Scoring Team of Four).
Lincolnshire
PAST events: Ghost Pairs. Winners N/S were Maurice Ladlow
& Maureen Parsons. Runners-up were Brian Smith & Ron
Wall and in third place came Guy Grainger & Jo Pike. Sitting
E/W the victors were Mike Llewellyn & Megan Williams, with
runners-up Nick Hunter & Ruby Schnalke. Third place went
to Phil Harland & Sue Barraclough.
Future events: After having held qualifying heats in the
Clubs, the semi-final of the Bainton final will be held at
Dunholme Village Hall on 31 Jan, 1.30pm. After that the final
will be at the same venue on 28 Feb, 1.30pm.
London
THE Men's & Women's Pairs were held together at
the YCBC on 25 Oct 2015. The Women's Pairs was
won by Anne Catchpole & Stefanie Rohan, with
Camilla Warren & Terry Hewett second and Lyn
Poole & Elisabeth Cocking third. The Men's Pairs was won by
Nigel Freake & Paul Lamford, with Ian Pagan & Geoffrey
Lederman second and Gad Chadha & Roger Mapp third.
Manchester
TOLLEMACHE: Manchester qualified for the
final by winning their group. The team was
John Hassett & Jeff Morris, Michael Byrne &
Michael Newman, John Holland & Alan
Mould, Tom Slater & Alec Smalley. Rodney Lighton was NPC.
Ben Franks Trophy: Michael Byrne & Michael Newman won
the Corwen qualifier on 6 Dec. Ollie Burgess & Rob Myers
were second, 10% behind the winners. In third place and also
intermediate prize winners were Graham Campbell &
Lindsey Barnes. The other qualifiers for the Corwen were
Gillian McMullan & Neil Thomas. The ascenders prize went
to Barbara Lewis & Alec Smalley.
Autumn Intermediate Pairs: Thirteen and a half tables
played at Altrincham on 1 Nov. In the N/S section winners
were Andrew Jackson & Adam Wiseberg and runners up were
Chris Baker & Jim O'Neill. E/W winners were Peter Allison &
John Attree and 2nd were Nicki Decent & Haidee Tattersall.
