Sprint Tool and Die, after being voted Toolmaker of the Year
at the Plastic Industry Awards, is continuing to ride the
wave of recovery within the manufacturing sector.
The Telford-based toolmakers are moving to larger premises and
continuing to invest in state-of-the-art machinery, initially expanding wire
EDM facilities, so as to increase productivity and expansion into high-spec machined parts.
Increased workforce, in-house designers and tool trial facilities
reflect the buoyant nature of manufacturing within the GTMA
supplier which has a team of highly skilled apprentice-trained
toolmakers. The company specialises in high precision production tooling, alongside modifications and repairs.
All work is carried out within its dedicated toolmaking facility.
Toolmaker of the Year was awarded to Sprint Tool and Die after
its design drastically reduced cycle times and material wastage,
attracting further tooling from Japan and USA, for a first tier
OEM, thus reinforcing its reputation as first-class toolmakers.
