GTMA AT MACH 2014
FEATURED SUPPLIERS
GTMA will be showcasing what it terms
"a unique turnkey solution for procurement" at this year's MACH exhibition.
It will be part of the GTMA Pavilion (Hall 4,
Stand 4454) which will host 10 supplier
companies and a special area dedicated to
the UK Tooling Alliance (UKTA) procurement
initiative.
As well as the GTMA suppliers in the Pavilion
another 40 from the association are taking
individual stands - making it one of the
biggest and most impressive turnouts for
many years. Many are launching new or
enhanced products and services at the show.

CEO Julia Moore says: "As a UK-based
trade association representing leading
companies in precision engineering, rapid
product development, toolmaking, tooling
technologies, metrology and other critical
manufacturing related products and services, MACH provides
us with the ideal
opportunity to highlight the projects the
association has developed and to showcase
the skills of the members."
There are two key projects being highlighted
by the GTMA at the event at the NEC,
Birmingham (April 7-11). As well as the
recently launched UKTA, the association will
also be promoting the further developments
and commercialisation of the Incremental
Sheetmetal Forming (ISF) technology project.
UKTA aims to offer customers a unique
turnkey solution for procurement. CEO Julia
Moore points out that the new alliance will
provide a well-resourced and versatile capability to customers, supporting the growing
trend
for OEMs to use local suppliers and services.
It comprises of a number of toolmakers with
a variety of capacity and technical capabilities to present
a unified credible supplier
front with far more to offer than any single
company. Supporting the toolmakers, which
have a wide range of expertise and the ability to handle tools ranging from
micro to 10
tonnes capacity, it will secure projects and
engage them in Early Supplier Involvement
(ESI) and introduce what is termed a 'total
care package' at the design development
stage.
