PeopleFluent and


merger completed

Learning Technologies Group has

completed the merger between

PeopleFluent and NetDimensions. The

company says that the joining of

NetDimensions and PeopleFluent sees

NetDimensions cease to operate as a

separate business within LTG.

NetDimensions has joined PeopleFluent's

Talent Management and Talent

Acquisition offerings to form a core part

of a newly-created learning suite,

PeopleFluent Learning.

The NetDimensions LMS product will be

complemented by authoring and video

solutions provided by gomo learning

technology, another part of the Learning

Technologies Group . The addition of

gomo products to the PeopleFluent

Learning suite enables direct deployment

from gomo's authoring tool to

NetDimensions LMS. All products will

continue to be available as standalone or

fully integrated solutions.

CIPD calls on

government to raise

skills ambition to

tackle productivity

HR professional body the Chartered

Institute for Personnel and Development

(CIPD) has warned the government that

the battle for UK productivity 'will be won

or lost in the workplace'. Speaking after

the Budget statement at the end of

October 2018, Ian Brinkley, acting chief

economist for the CIPD, said: "The skills

agenda is central to this and we need to

see much greater ambition from the

Government. It's promising to see that

the Government has halved the

apprenticeship levy contribution for

smaller businesses but this is unlikely to

greatly boost the number of

apprenticeships offered by small firms,

many of which lack the capacity to take

on apprentices."

The CIPD is complaining that the levy is

still far too rigid to work in practice for

many employers.
