Employee motivation, communications

and training systems are an integral

part of the Stouffer Hotel Company

management system.

All point-of-encounter employees are regularly

reminded of customer's needs thorough training programs.

Also, every sales-related person

undergoes an equally comprehensive customer

and sales training program called the B.E.S.T.

program (Building Effective Sales Techniques).

To be sure all understand the importance of

these programs, senior management participates

both as students as well as teachers

throughout the year.

Intercompany communications include

newsletters, video tapes, "Marketinggrams,"

personal visits, etc. Motivational performance

awards available to employees at every level are the center of attraction at annual meetings.

praised.

Consumer feedback systems include Stouffer's

Guest Relations Program, honored as the

best in the industry by the American Hotel

and Motel Association. Guests may use a red
