The Christmas Experience

CHRISTMAS EVE

Arrive at Bovey Castle to a host of festive activities

including afternoon tea and cider & sloe gin

making. Bovey Rangers activities and the Play

Barn will be open for the children. Afternoon tea

will be served in the Cathedral Room accompanied

by carol singing, followed by a storyteller for all

the family. We offer an early children's high tea in

Smith's Brasserie. Your evening includes welcome

drinks and a five course dinner.

CHRISTMAS DAY

Enjoy breakfast, followed by a visit from Father

Christmas, who will be giving out gifts for our

younger guests. In the morning enjoy the fresh air

and beautiful scenery on the estate by trying out

our brass rubbing trail. The revelry begins with a

drinks reception, followed by a fabulous Christmas

Day lunch in The Great Western Restaurant.

Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without the

Queen's speech, tea and Christmas cake. An

informal buffet dinner will be served in the evening.

BOXING DAY

After breakfast sign up for the golf tournament,

join us for a guided walk, or take part in our

treasure hunt around the Castle and grounds.

In the afternoon our much loved ferret racing is

a firm favourite, as is our 'nearest the pin' golf

competition on the South Terrace, served with hot

chocolate or mulled wine. Bovey Rangers activities

are available all day and the Play Barn will be

open. A savoury and sweet afternoon tea will also

be served in the Cathedral Room throughout the

afternoon. Our storyteller will keep the children

entertained, followed by high tea and a festive

movie. Finish your day with a five course black tie

dinner in The Great Western Restaurant followed by

dancing to a live band.
