We believe in celebrating and supporting our local area by using local products and services wherever
possible. This not only gives guests a true flavour of our region but also helps us strengthen and sustain
our local communities.
We are fortunate to have a wealth of talented producers, from food and drink suppliers to skilled
artisans and craftspeople. Our menus are thoughtfully designed to showcase local and artisan
ingredients, reflecting the best our region has to offer.
Each month, we host an Inspirational Lunch event, where a local supplier is invited to deliver a talk or
demonstration to share their craft and story. These events are always well attended and highlight the
creativity and passion within our local community.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle
We are dedicated to reducing waste and recycling throughout the hotel. We kindly ask guests to help
us by recycling where possible. Discarded newspapers, magazines, bottles, and cans can be left next
to your bin or placed in the green recycling divider in the bin within your room, we are pleased to
advise none of our waste goes to landfill.
Used coffee grounds from our bar and restaurant are reused to fertilise our flower beds, supporting
healthy plant growth. To reduce glass waste, we now provide canned water in guest bedrooms, as
aluminium cans enter the recycling process far quicker than glass and are also much lighter in weight,
from a disposal point of view. All green waste from our grounds is composted and reused across our
gardens.
We monitor our waste statistics and all waste streams closely each month, with a view to driving it
down, allowing us to continually improve our practices and further reduce our environmental impact.
