Welcome to the latest issue of our Inspiration magazine. In the midst of challenging times,
the coronavirus pandemic has shifted not only supply chain operations, but also our lives.
Looking back, COVID-19 has examined the flexibility and efficiency of warehouse operations.
It has proved that intelligent solutions such as Big Data, scalability, and smart planning in
urban fulfillment pay dividends in times of crisis. As we worked closely with customers
through the wave of pandemic, we take pride of close relationships with them, as well as
transparent communication that has cushioned threats from upcoming disruptions.
It feels like a different era when we celebrated 50 years of our Vectura solution, but this
anniversary gave us confidence in how far we have come. Over the past five decades, we
have started to develop our first pallet crane all the way to piloting our first robot picking
technology. Looking back, we can say with confidence that we are proud of the way our
experts advise customers, gaining their trust in return.
None of this would have been possible without the support of our employees, who during
these difficult times, are the ultimate champions of everyday life. Meet the heroes who are
engineers of our progress and share their stories in this issue. At Swisslog, our people are the
core of our company. They are responsible for shaping the future of your business, and they
work hard to ensure customers' requirements are met - no matter how challenging it gets.
