Tesco customers in West Berkshire can
support our young people by casting
votes in three stores.
Prior's Court is currently one of three charities taking
part in the Tesco Community Grants Scheme in the
following Tesco outlets:
l Tesco Express, High Street, Newbury
l Tesco Express, Northfield Road, Thatcham
l Tesco Superstore, London Road, Newbury
In the scheme, customers receive voting tokens after
purchasing their shopping. The tokens are used to
cast votes as shoppers leave the store.
The project with the highest number of votes will
receive £1,500 (or the amount that was requested up
to this value), the second placed project £1,000 (or
the amount that was requested up to this value), and
the third placed project £500.
Prior's Court would use any monies received from
the scheme to transform the gardens of our on-site
residential homes.
Aimee Hoyle, Fundraising Assistant at Prior's Court
(pictured), said: "We are thrilled to have been put
forward to the customer vote stage in the Tesco
Community Grants Scheme.
"By transforming the gardens of our on-site
residential homes we will be able to provide safe
access to the outdoors, along with sensory and play
equipment, for our young people, all of whom have
autism, learning difficulties and complex needs. This
makes a real difference to their everyday lives.
"We are hugely grateful to Tesco for including us
in this project and we thank any customers who
choose to vote for us in the coming months."
Votes can be cast in-store until mid-January 2023.
We have had incredible
support in recent months
from corporate volunteer
teams that we would like
to extend a massive thank
you to.
From July to September we have
had 100 volunteers give us 454
hours of work completing projects
across the site which make a real
difference to the lives of our young
people.
Thank to you teams from:

shed and helping us prepare
for the visit of Bear Grylls for the
Investiture of our Scouts groups.
l BNP Paribas for painting and
weeding our pet therapy paddock,
clearing the pig pen, and weeding
the Orchard.
l McCarthy Stone for refreshing
and cleaning our memorial
garden, and clearing stinging
nettles from the Woods.

removing dead trees, preparing
the ground for new ones, and
creating a new path in the Woods.

painting and decorating one of
our on-site residential homes.
