Kärcher UK's generous donation to
support our work and young people
Global leader in cleaning
technology, Kärcher
UK, has donated a
huge £30,000 worth of
equipment to Prior's
Court after seeing firsthand
the amazing work
being done by our teams
to support young people
with complex autism.
The equipment is on permanent
loan to help ensure our site is
kept clean and safe for the young
people we support.
Mark Bailey, our Head of Services,
has prior connections to Kärcher,
so invited Simon Keeping, Kärcher
UK Managing Director, and Kristie
Wilson, Kärcher UK Aftermarket &
Service Director, to our site earlier
this year to hear about the work we
do and see the positive impact we
have on young people here.
During his visit, Mr Keeping said:
"Prior's Court is an extraordinary
place, and Kärcher is delighted to
support their work in any way we
can."
Kärcher UK has also agreed to
support in the form of volunteering
to help deep clean our residential
homes and providing help where
they can around our site.
This equipment will not only
improve the space in which the
young people live, but much of
the equipment is suitable for the
young people to use themselves
with tailored teaching and
supervision, providing support
to our Hospitality programme
of learning and to develop vital
vocational skills.
Natalie Norris, our Fundraising
Manager, said: "We are blown away
by this incredible support from
Kärcher UK. The equipment is
going to make a huge difference
in so many ways; for our grounds
team and housekeeping team, for
young people to use and develop
skills and for all the volunteers who
come to site, making their work
and time they donate go even
further.
"The relationship with Kärcher
means a huge amount to us and
we are really excited to welcome
volunteers from Kärcher to Prior's
Court in the very near future."
