A fundraising event held on-site
supported both NHS Charities Together
and the learning of our young people.
Staff teams supported our young people to stage
a NHS Big Tea fundraiser - taking on tasks from
marketing the event, to making cakes, taking orders
and payments, and then tidying up afterwards.
Serena Bayley, Vocational Teacher who led on
organising the event, said: "These were all great
hands-on vocational experiences for our young
people to take part in, consolidating learning done
within the classroom and other environments, as
well as supporting our focus on learning British
Values."

tasty goods
Visitors to an animal rescue
and rehoming centre's onsite
shop can now support
our young people to gain
vital workplace skills.
Trindledown Farm, the home of
the Berkshire branch of National
Animal Welfare Trust near Great
Shefford, West Berkshire, is
now stocking a delicious range
of baked goods from Bread &
Beyond, our on-site bakery.
Trindledown Farm is stocking
Bread & Beyond's speciality breads
including dark sour multigrain,
olive fl utes, and tear 'n' share
breads.
Bread & Beyond was set up to
provide work-skills training for our
young people.
Dylan Needham, Artisan Bakery
Manager at Bread & Beyond, said:
"With only 32% of autistic adults
in the UK in any form of work, it is
important that the opportunity to
gain employment-relevant skills
is available to the young people at
Prior's Court.
"By becoming a stockist,
Trindledown Farm and its visitors
to Bailey's Café are helping to
support our young people to
thrive. All profi ts from Bread &
Beyond products go back into
the work of the Prior's Court
Foundation so customers will be
supporting efforts to close the
'autism employment gap' - as
well as enjoying delicious, handcrafted
baked goods."
Cy Grove, Fundraising and
Supporter Relations Offi cer at
Trindledown Farm, said: "We have
chosen to work alongside Bread
& Beyond because of the project's
uniqueness and great work
that it does for those with autism.
As well as supporting those at
Prior's Court, the sale of the range
of breads will help to raise money
for the rescue animals in our care."
While the bakery shop at Prior's
Court is not open to the general
public, Bread & Beyond products
are available at Londis Chieveley
Village Stores, Stockcross Village
Stores, and Aldbourne Post Offi ce,
