Sandqvist, & Stefano Tommasini to win the Swiss

Teams, with Mark Hodgson, Maggie Jones, Bill

Taylor & Robert Miller in second place.

SPRING BANK HOLIDAY CONGRESS

Tunbridge Wells BC won the Garden Cities

Trophy, the competition for each county's teamsof-eight

champion'. The team comprised

(pictured) Colin Wilson, Espen Erichsen, Helen

Erichsen, Steve Barnfield, Gerald Soper, Jeremy

Willans, Frances Connell and Ian Draper. Deva BC

came second and Reading BC was third.

& Dick

Davey were

second.

The Swiss Teams competition was won by Jeremy

Dhondy, Bill Hirst, Peter Law & Clive Cubitt

(pictured above). They finished ahead of Gary

Hyett, Alan Cooke, John Jones & Adrian Fontes,

with the Davey team in third a further 2 VPs back.

Summer Seniors

Congress, held in

Eastbourne in mid-July. Kathy & Denis Talbot

came second, with Celia & Derek Oram third. The

B Final was won by Gary Hyett & Alan Cooke.

The Swiss Pairs - for non-qualifiers in the

Championship Pairs, and those joining the

Congress on day two - was won emphatically by

SUMMER SENIORS CONGRESS

The Pachabo Cup was won by the Manchester

team of (pictured) John Holland, Michael Byrne,

Rodney Lighton and Michael Newman. All were

part of Manchester's winning team in 2015.

The Pachabo Cup is contested by the holders of

the teams-of-four Championship of each county,

and 25 counties took part. Nottinghamshire came

second with Hants & Isle of Wight third.

PACHABO CUP

Manchester pair John Holland and Alan Mould

won this year's event with nearly 61% over four

sessions. The Corwen is the EBU's inter-county

pairs championship for which pairs qualify from

their county's pairs championships. John has won

it twice previously. Second place was taken by

Steve Root & Shahzaad Natt.
