Welcome to VisitRichmond's July edition of the What's
On Brochure which showcases all the wonderful arts, music,
theatre, culture, history and heritage that Richmond upon
Thames has to offer to encourage us all to #visitlocal and
discover what is on your doorstep. This is just a snap-shot

July has arrived, bringing longer days, warm summer
evenings, and a packed programme of excitingevents
across the borough. From spectacular outdoor performances
and historic displays to live music and vibrant community
celebrations, there's something for everyone to enjoy
this month.
2026 marks the 250th anniversary of the US Declaration
of Independence, adding extra meaning to this summer's
Britain and America: One Story, Two Nations programme.
Enjoy Henry VIII's Joust at Hampton Court Palace, live music
at the Hampton Pool Concerts, and open-air theatre with
The Merry Wives of Windsor. Culture fans can head to In
Conversation at Kew Gardens for inspiring talks in a
beautiful setting. Wellbeing takes focus at the Happy Place
Festival, while community spirit shines at Barnes Fair and
St Margarets Fair, both full of local charm and family fun.
Richmond town centre will once again become a stage for
performance, creativity and community this summer as Centre
Stage returns from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th July. Over this
extraordinary weekend, the town will come alive with myths
and monsters, fates and feasts, mighty heroes, and ancient
magic.

is open daily 10am-3pm where you can meet one of the
volunteers who take pride in their in-depth knowledge of
Richmond upon Thames, but also have a genuine interest
