Module 2
FIRE PROCEDURES
Fire safety is only one of many safety issues with
which management must concern themselves to
minimise the risk of injury or death to staff or the
public. Unlike most of the other safety concerns, fire
has the potential to cause largescale damage very
quickly. Here is the official fire safety procedure that
all our employees will be expected to follow in the
event of a fire:
Treat every alarm as though it is a real
emergency, even if the initial source is
unknown.
Do not stop to collect your belongings,
head straight for the nearest fire exit.
Close all fire doors when exiting.
Never use elevators during a fire
emergency.
Head straight to the designated
employee meeting place.
