Foreword
King's Hall School, formerly Pyrland Hall School, is a Woodard
School and so part of the largest group of Church of England
schools in England and Wales. Like many schools it has benefited
from the generosity of its former pupils, parents, Friends, staff and
governors. Woodard himself enjoyed the backing of generous
Victorians who shared his educational vision, and his schools would
not have been founded without their significant contributions. It is
through the support of generations of benefactors that King's Hall
School has continued to grow and to adapt to changing needs.
We want to keep that growth alive as we face the challenges of
the future. We have a number of important projects in mind,
including the establishment of a sizeable bursary fund to allow
greater access to the wonderful, life-changing experience that is a
King's education.
You could support the school in its ambitions and help to ensure that its reputation for
excellence is sustained well into the future by leaving a bequest in your Will.
Of course, your primary concern should be for those closest to you. However, drawing up a
Will can also offer the opportunity to include a lasting legacy to a favourite charity. As the
gift would be exempt from inheritance tax it could also help to reduce the burden on loved
ones, while maximising the benefit to the school.
