hings are changing. Again.
The COVID-19 crisis has had a profound impact around the world
and has proven to be a learning opportunity for new and flexible
ways of working. Our employee experience has always been founded
on a culture of collaboration and engagement. We miss the days
of friendly exchanges in the hallways, brainstorming sessions over
coffee in the pantries, and our stores buzzing with the energy of
employee and customer interactions.
While platforms such as Teams, WebEx and Zoom have certainly made virtual collaboration more
convenient, nothing quite replaces the impact of genuine in-person interaction. It promotes innovative
ideating and relationship building, which foster employee development. It is that sense of comradery and
engagement that we so look forward to rebuilding, but we know it will take time to adjust.
Our employees have demonstrated tremendous adaptability since the start of the pandemic and defining
our "new normal" is our opportunity to make work lives more purposeful, productive, agile, and flexible. We
also acknowledge an obvious relationship between employee wellbeing and employee performance. When
employee wellbeing suffers, so does productivity, motivation, and engagement.
To help ensure employee wellbeing is paramount, Capri is pleased to share that in partnership with the
wellbeing experts, Conscious Working, we will be hosting a global Wellness Month in October 2021.
Together with Conscious Working, Capri has curated a month-long program packed with information, tools,
resources, and best practices that cover a wide range of wellbeing topics, themes, and activities.
Employees will be offered a catalogue of wellness-inspired initiatives including, the continuation of
meetings management such as "No Meeting Fridays" where applicable, daily challenges, expert-led
webinars, interactive workshops, and community building engagement activities. In almost all instances,
these sessions, classes, and workshops will be offered during the working day and in multiple languages.
In coordination with Capri's existing wellbeing pillars: Mental, Physical and Social, our October Wellness
Month will focus on mindfulness, meditation, nutrition, yoga and exercise, sustainability and more!
Beginning with executive endorsement, this program is designed to introduce, enlighten, and inspire
sustainable wellbeing practices to our global employees. Our goal is to support you in finding and
maintaining the healthiest, happiest and best version of yourself.
Stay tuned for more information in the coming months!
