The survey also sought to draw out the importance of qualitative factors in
investment decision making amongst wealthy private investors. Irrespective of
the location on which investors are focused, the lifestyle offered by a city and the
presence of a second home emerged as the most important factor in decision
making. Linked to this, the expansion of investment portfolios and the growth of
existing business investments were highlighted as the second and third most likely
drivers for international investments, respectively.
