INDEPENDENCE DAY
"WHAT DOES INDEPENDENCE DAY JULY 4TH
MEAN TO YOU?"
Independence Day is a time to celebrate our family and the
many freedoms that we have today because of the sacrifice
of others that came before us. My family immigrated here
from Italy two generations ago in search of a better life. I live
every day knowing that the wonderful opportunities that our
country provides will continue to foster life and liberty for
future generations to come.
"As first generation American, Independence Day reminds
me of the members of my family who came to this country
in search of freedom. Freedom to live life to the fullest,
freedom to love and freedom to pursue whatever makes
us happy. I am grateful for the men and women past and
present who have fought for these freedoms which we enjoy
every day. This photo was taken at the 2019 Twin Festival in
Twinsburg Ohio. My sister, also a Capri Holdings
employee, and I dressed up as our favorite Holiday
- Independence Day."

BASTILLE
DAY
"Bastille day is the national day of France which is
celebrated on the 14th July each year. In French, it is
formally called "fete nationale". The French national
day is the anniversary of Storming of the Bastille on
the 14th of July 1789, a turning point of the French
revolution. There is a large military parade in Paris in
the morning and it ends with the Paris Fire Brigade.
Military aircraft fly over the parade route during the
parade. The French president opens the parade and
reviews the troops and thousands of people line the
route. I usually spend the day quietly here in London
and organize a picnic with friends!"
