My lovely family
[1] I have a wonderful family. Each of them is special.
[2] Everyone calls my father 'a gentleman'. Dad never talks loudly.
He is very gentle. He is also a caring person. He takes good care of
everyone in our family. When I was five years old, I had a fever one
night. It was a typhoon night. Dad held me in his arms and ran to get
a taxi. Sadly, there was no taxi during the typhoon. Then he carried
me on his back to the hospital. I will never forget that in my life.
[3] My mother is a humorous lady. She always has a cheerful smile on
her face. She brings us a lot of laughter. I remember I once got a low
grade in my English test, but Mum did not blame me. She said, 'Don't
be upset. Find out why you got a low grade. Try harder next time and
you'll get a better grade. A great person once said, "Find a better way
to get a better grade".' 'Who said that?' I asked. Mum replied, 'Me.'
Then we laughed together.
[4] My brother Chris is five years older than me. He is friendly and
helpful. He is always willing to answer questions about my homework.
He is also chatty. He can talk for an hour without stopping! Every time
I ask him a simple question, he keeps talking and talking until I get
bored.
[5] My elder sister Lora is a creative girl. She is studying design at
university and always makes her own clothes. She makes new dresses
for me too. She is so generous.
I think Lora will become a great
designer in the future.
[6] I love my family. What about
you?
