Welcome to VisitRichmond's August edition of the
What's On Brochure which showcases all the wonderful
arts, music, theatre, culture, history and heritage that
Richmond upon Thames has to offer to encourage us
all to #visitlocal and discover what is on your doorstep.
This is just a snap-shot of what is on offer and please
visit visitrichmond.co.uk for a more comprehensive
list of events.
This month there is there is The Peter Rabbit™ Adventure
where you can hop, skip and jump into a magical garden
trail at Hampton Court Palace this summer, where Peter
Rabbit™ and friends are waiting to be discovered! There
is also the Faery Trails at Strawberry Hill House - a group
of naughty pixies have put a curse on the woodland and
the fairies need your help!
Don't miss the new exhibition Trailblazing Women:
Richmond Sporting Superstars at the Museum of Richmond
which is celebrating the stories of sporting superstars, Kitty
Godfree, Pamela Barton, Gem Hoahing and Betty Nutthall,
and their connections to Richmond or have you had a
chance to visit the MI5: Official Secrets National Archives
where you can step inside the hidden world of MI5 and
explore the extraordinary stories behind the security of a
nation. The annual Hampton Court Food Festival is back
and so is the Summer Cycle at Kew Gardens where you
can have the rare chance to experience the Gardens
on two wheels.
At the end of August there is Park Rock festival which is
bringing along a choice of awesome street food vendors,
fully stocked bars and immersive entertainment for all ages
and Raver Tots which promises to be the biggest and best
family friendly outdoor festival yet.
