2 years and 9 months.
When the opportunity arose, I was inspired to
become a Wellbeing Champion. The time that I
spent with myself during quarantine allowed me
to take time to work on myself and my wellbeing.
Now, being back into work I was elated to see the
company take the initiative to improve on the
wellbeing of their employees and I wanted to be a
part of this action.
My favorite way to practice wellbeing on a daily basis
is by enjoying the outdoors. I find myself spending
too much time inside and I found that taking even
just 5 minutes outside can allow me to clear my head
and relie ve some underlying stress.
I enjoy encouraging others to practice wellbeing.
The way I encourage others is by sharing my own
progress, explaining the benefits of practicing
wellbeing, and by rooting others on when they make
an effort to improve their own wellbeing.
I found that one of the most simple ways to
incorporate wellbeing into ones day-to-day is to start
the day off with a positive affirmation.
There are so many resources that have helped me to
stay on top of my own wellbeing. The resources that
helped me the most during this month of Thrive
has been the apps offered to us. I find that when I
have a notification on my phone I am motivated to
complete the task whether it is getting a full 8 hours
of sleep, drinking more water, etc
I am honored to be chosen to be my district's
Wellbeing Champion.
