ANNE MADSEN Deputy Head of Discipline, Mechanical
Engineering, BAE systems
Anne started her career in 1988 and currently works as a technical
authority for BAE Systems Naval Ships on the Clyde, whilst also
working as a senior lecturer in engineering at the University of
Glasgow.
Anne is a chartered engineer with the Institute of Marine
Engineering, Science and Technology and has a degree in
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering.
At the University of Glasgow she specialises in teaching
engineering design and renewable energy and at BAE she acts
as a technical authority across all marine engineering sectors
whilst also running an upskilling programme for the company's
marine engineers. The remit of the upskilling programme includes
preparing BAE's engineers to design the next generation of low
carbon vessels.
Anne started her career as a Merchant Navy cadet and spent ten
years at sea, gaining her Chief Engineers Licence, before leaving
to attend University.
MALCOLM ROBB
Engineering Manager, Research and Technolog, BAE Systems
Dr. Malcolm Robb, 23 years with BAE Systems, in a variety
of roles on a variety of projects for UK and Export customers,
including the concept design of new platforms, adaption of
existing designs and in-service platforms and the design of
Naval Platform Projects. He has led and participated in numerous
Research and Technology Projects for the Company, the UK
Ministry of Defence, The UK Government, NATO and European
Defence Agency.
