HARIS ZOGRAFAKIS

Haris Zografakis is a partner at the London office of Stephenson
Harwood LLP, one of the maritime sector's leading international
law firms, and is heading up the firm's commodities team. In a
career spanning nearly 30 years in the City of London, he has
represented clients from every continent and has dealt with most
aspects of international maritime trade. He has been inducted to
the Hall of Fame of the legal directory Legal 500, in recognition
of his work in his area of practice. He has published and lectured
extensively around the world (including for the IMO, BIMCO and
universities). He has served on the editorial board of Shipping
and Transport Law Journal, was member of the Council of the
London Shipping Law Centre and is member of the University
of Southampton Institute of Maritime Law. He leads his firm's
partnership with the Global Maritime Forum, served on the drafting
committee of, and is now legal advisor to, the Sea Cargo Charter.
He is involved in various decarbonisation projects and is widely
acknowledged as a thought-leader in maritime decarbonisation.
ROD JOHNSON

Rod is a Master Mariner and the Marine Director at Stephenson
Harwood, in the Marine and International Trade practice. He
advises clients on a range of complex issues, ranging from
the application and implications of marine technology to crisis
management and casualty response.
Rod has been in the shipping industry for 45 years in a
variety of senior roles. After 12 years working at sea in the UK
merchant fleet, Rod served in HM Coastguard for 25 years, a
career culminating in command of the service. As the UK Chief
Coastguard, Rod was accountable for emergency response at
sea within the UK EEZ and wherever British interests lay globally.
At the end of his service, Rod has pursued his abiding interest in
ships and shipping in the City of London as a consultant and as a
senior leader in the marine insurance industry.
He is a Fellow of the Nautical Institute, and he has a deep interest
in the many complex and contradictory issues that must be
addressed to achieve a carbon free world fleet.
