St. Augustine Outlets Store 132 is celebrating Diversity in a creative way by creating a Cultural
Connections board that acknowledges, educates, and celebrates the different cultures of their
employees.
We want to create an environment where
everyone feels welcome and appreciated
for who he or she is and for their beliefs,
customs, and traditions. To do this, my
ASM Nicole Laliberte and I felt that
we needed to invest more time into one
another to learn our cultural backgrounds.
It creates excitement around each holiday
and for each other. We can to learn more
from one another on a personal level rather
than conducting a Google search. Each
team member we celebrate will share
favorite customs as well as fun facts our
Cultural Connections board.

Rethink Your Meetings
Inclusion in meetings is all about making sure that everyone feels like they can speak up and
contribute to whatever's being discussed.
1. Create a plan for the meeting beforehand and send it to the participants
• This is beneficial to all participants, as it gives everyone more time to think about ideas and
suggestions.
2. Praise your employees
• Did someone come up with a great idea that benefited the company? Well, a meeting is
a perfect place to give credit to that person! This will encourage others to participate in
future meetings, improving the dynamic of the team.
