Sweden National Day is celebrated on June 6th in
honor of two historical events: Gustav Vasa being
elected king (6 June 1523) and the adoption of a
new constitution (6 June 1809). This day normally
offers a rare chance to see Swedes waving the flag.
Sweden national day is a feast
that not many Swedes actually
celebrate. However, on this day
you will see the Swedish flag
everywhere. For example, all
public transports will have our
flag in the front. Something
typical that I do on this day, is that I always eat ice cream with fresh
strawberries, and I always put on an extra smile.
