Nine resorts have been awarded "Flocon
Vert" status.
Many resorts are looking to become carbon
neutral and use 100% renewable energy.
Created by the Mountain Riders association,
the Flocon Vert label is helping promote
the most sustainable resorts. Working in
conjunction with local Mairies, Tourism
Offices and resort owners, they undertake
an audit and only award the label to the
most environmentally friendly resorts.
This label can then be used in promoting
the resort to an increasingly engaged and
"green" audience.
Currently nine resorts have passed the audit
and can promote the Flocon Vert status:
• Morzine Avoriaz
• Les Arcs
• Megève
• Valberg
• Chamrousse
• La Pierre Saint-Martin
• Châtel
• Vallée de Chamonix
• Les Rousses
