The Soane Trio recreate a musical picnic of the sort held

by J. M. W. Turner and his friend John Soane by the river

or in a garden, using music and songs from the salons

and music halls of nineteenth-century social music.

St Mary's Church, Twickenham, 11am

Twickenham was described in earlier times as

a classic village set in an Arcadian landscape on the

banks of the Thames. This walk along the Twickenham

riverside from Church Street to Marble Hill reveals some

of the rich legacy that still survives from previous eras.
