Welcome to VisitRichmond's January edition of the What's On
Brochure which showcases all the wonderful arts, music, theatre,
culture, history and heritage that Richmond upon Thames has to
offer to encourage us all to #visitlocal and discover what is
on your doorstep. This is just a snap-shot of what is on offer
and please visit visitrichmond.co.uk for a more comprehensive
list of events.
Happy New Year! This month we have a wide variety of exhibitions
not to be missed. From Shadowscapes: Heaney, JMW Turner and
Quantum at Orleans House Gallery, Pioneers: The First Women's
Rugby World Cup at the World Rugby Museum to Happy and
Glorious at The National Archives.
January is the perfect time to learn something new, why not
unleash your inner Goth at the Landmark Arts Centre and learn
how to design and carve your own gothic gargoyles and gremlins
or sketch seed pods using pencil and ink in the botanical drawing
workshop at Kew Gardens.
For anyone that is thinking of getting married and looking for
the perfect setting for your special day diarise the 18 January
as we have a Wedding Showcase at three hotels that day at The
Bingham Riverhouse, The Richmond Hill Hotel and The Richmond
Harbour Hotel.
#ShopLocal and support the weekly farmer's markets to
purchase locally grown produce. Do not forget to get your free
RichmondCard at www.richmond.gov.uk/richmondcard and have
access to a variety of local business offers and discounts. Please
do visit our VisitRichmond Information Centre which is open daily
10am-2pm where you can meet one of the volunteers who take
pride in their in-depth knowledge of Richmond upon Thames,
but also have a genuine interest in the history of the area. Collect

what is happening in the borough
