Join Cunard Queen Anne for her inaugural season, where she will be calling at more than 30 ports. Departing from Southampton the newest ship of the Cunard fleet will will embark
on a collection of sailings to enticing locations in the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Northern Europe. Take this opportunity for be part of Cunard's history on this fourth ship of the
fleet - the first in several decades - turning heads in destinations all over the world.
Although Cunard Queen Anne has a similar hull design to her sister ships Queen Victoria & Queen Elizabeth - she is almost 25% bigger at 113,000 GRT over 14 decks instead of 12 and
carrying 2,996 passengers. Both pool areas feature a galleried sunbathing deck overlooking the main Lido and Pavilion pools; and the midship Pavilion pool now has a huge display
screen and a retractable roof.
Gone are the private boxes of the Royal Court theatre, the Winter Garden Lounge, the separate nightclub venue, the Verandah Restaurant and the Grills areas on a deck surrounding
the funnel. Instead, there are now four separate specialty dining venues, a much larger Grills area plus a Grills sunbathing deck featuring a bar and an infinity whirlpool - one on the
edge of each side of the ship. The Queen's Room has been extended to stretch right across the ship and the Golden Lion pub now occupies a march larger space opposite another
alternative bar. The popular pre and post dinner drinks Chart Room bar has also made a welcome return.
WHAT'S BEHIND THE NAME?
The name 'Queen Anne' celebrates Cunard's rich heritage, royal history, and refined status - joining
a luxury contemporary fleet now honouring the names of each Queen Regnant over the last
millennium.
Cunard's close relationship with the British monarchy is a key part of their heritage, and they pride
themselves on a history that is closely interwoven with that of the nation. A fitting name for the
fourth in a fleet of prestigious queens, Queen Anne was chosen because of the monarch's many
merits. Reigning between the years of 1702 and 1714, in just twelve short years Queen Anne achieved
a great deal, including the unification of Great Britain and pushing forward the boundaries of arts and
education. An often overlooked and even mistreated sovereign, Queen Anne was an accomplished
and dedicated woman. Well-loved by the people, she was an example of true grace and refinement:
two qualities that are emulated by her namesake- Cunard Queen Anne.
ALTERNATIVE DINING
In addition to their much-loved signature venues, Queen Anne offers an array of alternative dining
options. Your choice of authentic cuisine includes Mediterranean, with a restaurant whose menu
features both familiar and perhaps unexpected dishes. Delight in the delicate and fragrant flavours of
the East at the Pan-Asian restaurant or enjoy tastes of India with dishes made using rich and aromatic
spice blends.
When you're in the mood for an indulgent steak and perfectly paired wine, choose the flagship
steakhouse and grill, or maybe head for tapas if you'd like an evening filled with plenty of options.
You'll find a generous menu of pub classics at the Golden Lion or choose from a range of healthy
options at the Wellness Café.
