WelcomeWorld Cup! What World Cup? It seemed to be
over in a flash but the lasting legacy has been to
showcase nations around the world with the diversity
of amazing sights, natural wonders and fascinating
cultures that can be found in each country. During
last month we saw an upsurge in enquiries of
cruises to exotic and far flung corners of the world -
particularly since a cruise gives you the opportunity
to see and do more in one holiday. The summer
months are prime booking time for winter cruises and
early bookings for the following year - and so this
edition is packed full of the same with lots of new and
exciting offers too.
We have received lots of enquiries for a visit to
Iguazu Falls which straddles the borders of Brazil
and Argentina. There are up to three hundred
waterfalls over a 1.7 mile long edge falling 269feet -
the most famous section being the Devils Throat. If
you think Niagara Falls are breathtaking then these
will blow your socks off ! Check out our brand new
offer on page 19 which combines a land based tour
of Iguazu Falls with a cruise on the luxurious Oceania
Marina from Rio to Buenos Aires.
The Indian Ocean in cruise terms is a remote
destination where cruise ships rarely visit; but Costa
neoClassica operates a series of voyages from
Mauritius featuring an exotic fourteen night cruise to
dreamy islands such as the Seychelles, Madagascar
and Reunion. Even further afield - the beaches
of Bali, Malaysia and Thailand beckon on board
Celebrity Millennium from just £1369pp; and Japan
remains in vogue with our Diamond Princess deals
including Mount Fuji and the famous Bullet
Train.
Interest for Caribbean cruises
is also beginning to hot up
with prices starting as low
as £1299pp on board the
new Royal Princess or
Holland America Line Nieuw
Amsterdam. New for this
month too are our Caribbean
cruises from the Dominican
Republic on board MSC Musica
combining an all inclusive hotel stay
on the beach and a cruise from just
£1479pp. Closer to home this winter we have an
amazing budget busting offer on board Norwegian
Spirit to the Canaries from just £499pp. Or perhaps
visit the winter hotspot of Dubai for a two night stay
in this desert city with a cruise of the Middle East on
board MSC Orchestra from just £899pp.
We have added another tour of top American cities
to our industry beating portfolio of US cruise and stay
holidays with our offer on page 13. See the sights
during a capitol city business class tour of Boston,
Washington DC and New York before relaxing on
the Norwegian Gem for a Caribbean cruise from just
£1399pp. Cruise with Carnival and don your cowboy
hat n' boots on our unique and best selling Grand
Canyon Ranch experience combined with Las Vegas
and Beverly Hills; or tour the American music cities of
Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans.
Our cruise line focus this month is
Carnival Cruises who offer fun
through and through from kids,
to families and adults young
and old. They have achieved
the golden ark of a fun party
atmosphere on board which is
the envy of other cruise lines
and explains why Carnival has
rapidly become one of our top
selling cruise lines this year.
Finally - if you have not already had
or booked your summer holiday for
this year then there are offers galore lurking
in every corner whether you decide not to fly and
cruise from the UK or fly to the Mediterranean to get
more bang from your holiday pound. Cunard Queen
Elizabeth has incredible prices for Fly-Med cruises in
August; at the time of going to press July departures
started from as low as £489pp. Cruise on P&O from
just £789pp for fourteen nights or take your pick of all
of the other cruise lines sailing from Southampton at
amazingly low - last minute prices.
