Check out the Social Care Institute for Excellence Page for Resources which cover Northern
Ireland to inform practice and service developments. View the latest from NI.
We have had discussions within the Building a Research Community about the
feasibility of developing a web page or web platform for our research related work.
The main issue is the avoidance of any potential duplication with other platforms
such as SCIE. We will be attempting to establish, through a scoping exercise,
what platforms practitioners use to access research, what are the challenges and
what type of platform if any would add value? We will be progressing this work
imminently.

Working during Covid-19 we want to hear from you
again! Please help with this Health and Social Care
Workforce Study.
Are you a social worker or social care worker who
is currently employed or self-employed (or working
for an agency) within any area of practice in the
UK? We want to understand more about your
quality of working life and coping in relation to the COVID-19 Pandemic. So far,
we have received over 10,000 responses to our three earlier surveys but we want
to know what is happening now.
Our fourth survey begins on 24
th
November 2021 and will stay open until 4th
February 2022. You don't have to have taken part previously to respond. The
links below will take you to further information about the study and to the survey
which is exploring the health and wellbeing of nurses, midwives, allied health
professionals, social care workers and social workers in UK during the
Pandemic. An overview of the findings so far can be found here. It is completely
confidential. If you would like further information about the research, please
contact Patricia Gillen on p.gillen@ulster.ac.uk or other members of the research
team on hscworkforcestudy@gmail.com.
At the end of the survey, there is the opportunity to leave your
details if you would like to take part in online focus groups which
will take place in January/February 2022, or you can email,
Patricia Gillen on p.gillen@ulster.ac.uk or the research team on
hscworkforcestudy@gmail.com. Please consider taking part as
we would like to further explore the findings from the survey
with health and social care front line workers, managers and
Human Resource managers from across the UK.
