Dissemination of Dementia Data Analytics Research User Group (DARUG)
projects to Social Work Research members
Work has been going on some work done on using dementia data to support
gaining insights and research in this key area.
A number of outputs are available which are at different stages - some are
complete and some may require further research. All may be of interest to
readers. In particular there may be some specific studies focusing on data
analytics techniques that can potentially be used to speed up analysis of
qualitative data which may be of use to researchers.

The Centre for Effective Services have launched the Child, Youth, and
Family Database. This new resource is a searchable database of 100+
standardised measures that have been used in research and evaluation with
children, young people and their families in Ireland and Northern Ireland, and will
be of interest to practitioners in social and health services, research professionals,
organisations conducting monitoring or evaluation, and commissioners of
research and evaluation. The database provides key information about outcome
measurement tools, allowing the end user to find and assess the suitability of a
measure for their research needs. The CYF Database was produced as part of
the Prevention and Early Intervention Research Initiative, and brings together a
wealth of information and knowledge from prevention and early intervention in
Ireland and Northern Ireland.
