The Empty Pot

Richmond Theatre, 9.30am

A great Emperor has no heir to his throne and so he

sets a challenge for all the children of China. Giving

one seed to each child he tells them to grow a flower

and bring it to him, who will grow the best flower and

become the next Emperor?

OSO Book Club Black Butterflies by Priscilla Morris

1pm

Short-listed for the 2023 Women's Prize, the novel is

set in Sarajevo in the spring of 1992 as tensions rise

between the different ethnic groups. A Serb professor

(and artist) finds herself cut off from the outside world,

forced to confront the devastation around her but

equally determined not to give up hope
