Our year 2014/15 | Quality in our people
Our annual wellbeing fairs across our five offices are
an important way for people to learn about what
benefits are available to them and have recently
included presentations by childcare voucher provider
Kiddivouchers and emotional resilience workshops in
partnership with Aviva. The firm has also worked with
local organisations to deliver cycle maintenance sessions
and provide advice on green routes. We have broadened
our flexible benefits scheme to include an online healthy
eating programme called Body Chef, as well as life
assurance and critical illness insurance for employees'
partners.
Our sports and social committees run a variety of
workplace activities across the offices and all of our
people are entitled to take up to two days out of work
to take part in community projects or volunteering
activities. This is supported by our community action
committees and generally includes working with local
schools, hospitals and community centres.
In March 2015 we carried out our annual wellbeing
survey. The results show that our efforts are making a
difference, with seven out of 10 respondents believing
they have a good work/life balance at Browne Jacobson
and 66% feeling that their wellbeing was considered
important by the firm.
workplace wellbeing
As a caring employer we are also conscious of our responsibility towards our people and work hard
each year to promote the importance of workplace wellbeing.
"We are operating in a fast-paced legal
environment - we have targets to meet
and clients to support through exceptional
client service; having well-engaged people
here is critical to our business."
