Safeguarding your belongings
Upon admission to hospital please be advised that patients should not bring any
valuables or material amounts of cash into hospital with them. The Trust
accepts no liability for any loss or damage caused to items not handed to a Trust
member of staff for safe-keeping. An inventory of patient belongings will be held
on the ward and will be completed on admission.
Patients should be advised that under normal circumstances any cash
exceeding £25 will be returned in the form of a cheque.
Please advise staff if you have dentures or a hearing aid, when not in use they
should be kept in a container or in your beside locker.
Because of health and safety regulations, the Ulster Hospital must test all
electrical equipment used on its premises. Please do not bring any electrical
equipment into hospital. Battery operated shavers are allowed. Hair Dryers are
available on each ward.
For your own safety, you will be
asked to wear a patient
identification wristband at all
times during your hospital stay.
