The Terrrace Gardens are famous for their seasonal
bedding, shrubberies, rockery and rose garden, all
set amongst fine trees and sloping lawns. Features
of the garden history remain, including the statue of
the River God and an ice house set in the slope to
the rear of the thatched summer house. From the
gravel wall at the summit of Richmond Hill many
landmarks can be viewed, and on a clear day you
can see as far as Windsor castle!

A recently upgraded play area for children aged 10
and under. The playground has been rejuvenated
to replace four springers with a ground trampoline,
seesaw, carousel and imaginary play jeep. The new
items greatly increase the variation of play items
available to users. In addition, the raised beds have
been replanted with new shrubs and the Council
aim to carry out a re-surface of the whole site and
install some additional thermoplastic graphics and
games. visitrichmond.co.uk - 13 ---
