Interest, home to free-roaming deer, the famous
Diana Fountain, woodland gardens, a large

Crane Park follows the bends of the River Crane
from Twickenham to the Hanworth Road, Whitton.
The tranquil nature of the reserve is a haven for
wildlife including marsh frogs and rare water voles.
There is a cycle track, the remains of a gunpowder
mill and a Shot Tower blended with riverside
meadows and wooded riverbanks

Terrace Gardens is famous for its variety of plants
and trees. There are shrub beds, a rockery and
a rose garden, all set amongst sloping lawns.
Features of the garden's history remain, including
the statue of Aphrodite and an ice house set in the
slope to the rear of thatched summer house. From
the gravel wall and summit of Richmond Hill many
landmarks can be viewed, and a clear day you
can see as far as Windsor castle. There is a café
within the site which is open 7 days per week from
7.30am-5.30pm.
