The Northern Ireland Social Care Council makes a difference to the quality of
social care services by regulating workforce standards and by promoting
continuous training and learning. Undertaking and staying connected to ongoing
research and learning and development activities ensures that we are all
appropriately skilled, and have the most relevant knowledge base, to provide the
best possible service for the people with whom we work. We provide an array of
activities to support that learning - these include:
Lunchtime Seminars
We facilitate regular lunchtime seminars in partnership with our registrants and
other stakeholders - these enable us to share regional research and
practice. Since moving the seminars online, in the last year attendance has risen
significantly - from an average of 60 attendees to 200 attendees per session. Our
website has details of upcoming events (https://niscc.info/events/) and recordings
of sessions are also available (https://niscc.info/lunchtime-seminars-presentationsand-videos/).
