Quality and purpose of care
1. The range of needs of the children that Prior's Court School
provides care and accommodation for.
Prior's Court School provides education and care for children and young people
from 5 to 19 years with autism, moderate-to-severe learning difficulties and
complex needs.
Some young people may have other medical conditions or additional needs such
as ADHD and/or epilepsy. Some young people may exhibit challenging
behaviours. Many young people are non-verbal, pre-verbal or have limited
functional language. Young people attending Prior's Court School have learning
difficulties associated with their autism and complex needs.
Prior's Court School opened in 1999. It is an independent special school, dually
registered as a Children's Home, offering day, weekly and termly placements
with 38, 44 and 52-week options.
Prior's Court School offers placements to children and young people from local
authorities across the UK and occasionally receives young people from abroad
who are privately funded.
