The green city
It is not just the economy and job
prospects that make London an appealing
place to live. It has also been named the
"greenest" UK city, based on a
combination of nature, transport,
emissions and sustainability criteria.
With 47% of its land area comprising
green space (parks, gardens and
woodlands*), there are 8.3 million trees,
almost one for each of its 8.6 million
residents.
