Richmond June What's On 1
Welcome to VisitRichmond's June's edition of
the What's On Brochure which showcases all the
wonderful arts, music, theatre, culture, history and
heritage that Richmond upon Thames has to offer to
encourage us all to #visitlocal and discover what is
on our doorstep. This is just a snap-shot of what is
on offer and please visit visitrichmond.co.uk for a
more comprehensive list of events.
This month, in celebration of Her Majesty Queen
Elizabeth's II's Platinum Jubilee, we have many events
taking place across the borough including free street
parties in Hampton Wick, Twickenham and Whitton to
Jubilee Picnics, Jubilee Garden Parties, street parties
and more. Don't miss Richmond 'Artist of the Year'
competition at WWT London Wetland Centre, the Summer
Cycle in Kew and A Celebration of British Flowers at
Petersham Nurseries. Why not enjoy live music, theatre
and art exhibitions and don't forget to #ShopLocal and
support the weekly farmers markets to buy locally grown
and made products. Did you know that every Wednesday
there is a free bus service within Richmond Park that
takes you to see the Isabella Plantation - definitely a
must see.
Do not forget to get your free RichmondCard at
www.richmond.gov.uk/richmondcard and have access
to a variety of local business offers and discounts. Please
do visit our Richmond Station Information Kiosk which
is open daily 10am-3pm where you can meet one of the
volunteers who take pride in their in-depth knowledge
of Richmond upon Thames, but also have a genuine
interest in the history of the area. Collect your free
VisitRIchmond, local maps and find out more what
is happening in the borough.
