Twickenham Choral
Landmark Arts Centre, 7.30pm
J.S. Bach: St John Passion - St John Passion
recounts the dramatic story from the Gospel
of St John of how Jesus was captured, judged
and crucified. The pain of his betrayal, the
bewilderment of the apostles and the anger
of the crowds are all conveyed through Bach's
vivid musical depiction of a cast of colourful
characters in this powerful work, threaded
through with traditional German chorales
