YOSEMITE VALLEY LODGE
The Yosemite Valley Lodge is quite literally the closet property to the falls in the
heart of Yosemite National Park where you will be able to explore and enjoy
all the activities on offer. Your accommodation will be in a Private Lodge room.
There is an outdoor amphitheatre - located in the centre of Yosemite Lodge at
the Falls featuring nightly ranger/naturalist programs, slide presentations and
scenic movies during the summer. Evening programs are held year-round onsite.
Another bonus of staying here is that all Yosemite Guided Bus Tours depart
from Yosemite Valley Lodge, and there is also a Free shuttle service to various
locations in Yosemite Valley. The Tours & Activities Desk offers information
and arrangements for tours, transportation, Yosemite Mountaineering School

AMTRAK COAST STARLIGHT
For your overnight journey between San Francisco to Seattle, accommodation
on board the train is in a comfy sleeper roomette. Full board is included in the
main Dining car which offers fresh cuisine served on real china and table linens.
Widely regarded as one of the most spectacular of all train routes, the Coast
Starlight links the greatest cities on the West Coast, the scenery along the Coast
Starlight route is unsurpassed. The dramatic snow-covered peaks of the Cascade
Range and Mount Shasta, lush forests, fertile valleys and long stretches of Pacific
Ocean shoreline provide a stunning backdrop for your journey.
Know as the Emerald City, The shopping here is excellent, as is the dining and bars for some lively nightlife.
Pike Place Market is a focal point in the downtown area and just steps away from the waterfront. Pioneer
Square marks Seattle's original downtown area dating back to 1852 and is home to art galleries, cafes, sports
bars and nightclubs. The Seattle Underground Tour ($16pp) can be found here and is well worth it as you have
a chance to visit eerie sunken store fronts and forgotten streets which were at the original ground level before
the Great Fire of 1889. For the best views of the city visit the Space Needle which was built for the World's Fair
in 1962. This 605 foot tower is the equivalent to 60 floors high and houses the revolving Sky City restaurant
open for lunch a dinner daily. Perhaps visit the Boeing Factory to see how airplanes are built on this 4.5-hour
small-group trip to the largest building in the world.
SAN FRANCISCO
San Francisco is often called "Everybody's
Favourite City," a title earned by its scenic
beauty, cultural attractions, diverse
communities and world-class cuisine. This
very walk-able city is dotted with features
like the Golden Gate Bridge, cable cars, the
Coit Tower and Alcatraz. A stroll of the City's
streets can lead from Union Square to North
Beach and Fisherman's Wharf, with intriguing
neighbourhoods to explore at every turn.
Visit the Golden Gate Park with panoramic
views of the Pacific Ocean, shop at hippy
Haight-Ashbury and experience the local
community of Le Castro.
