Prizes
British explorer Sir Ranulph
Fiennes, described by the
Guinness Book of Records
as 'the world's greatest living
explorer,' helped Palletways
to launch a new initiative
to reward members for
continuously enhancing their
customer service performance
at its annual summer
conference.
The Palletways Platinum Club
replaces the Palletways Partnership
League, bringing in tighter selection
criteria and making it an even
more exclusive prize that rewards
the very best network members
for excellence in performance,
commitment and compliance.
This year, 12 of Palletways 106 UK
members have been selected
to join the Platinum Club and
their selection highlights their
continuous commitment to
providing the very highest levels of
service to their customers.
The inaugural Platinum Club
members are: Arthur Oakley
Transport; Gilbraith Transport;
Hastings Freight; Jack Richards
& Son; Kenyon Road Haulage;
Palletways 51; Palletways
Birmingham; Reason Transport;
Sovereign Transport Services;
Speed Welshpool; The Pink Link;
and Transland International.
Martyn Young, Managing Director
of Palletways UK Member
Network, said: "I'd like to thank all
the Platinum Club members for
their excellent work over the past
year and their commitment to
our network. Providing customers
with a fast, reliable and eicient
service is our top priority, and these
awards highlight the dedication of
our members to meeting the very
highest standards".
Each of the Platinum Club
members were presented with an
award and the initiative attracted
signiicant media coverage across
the members' catchment areas, as
well as the business press.
The Platinum Club members
for 2014 will be announced at
this year's summer conference,
and there is still time to be in
the running to enter the club,
with the judges set to make their
inal decisions in May. For more
information on the Platinum Club,
please contact your Regional
General Manager.
12 OF THE
VERY BEST
Palletways has recognised three outstanding
contributions to sales over the past year that
demonstrate the high levels of commitment to
quality control, customer service and growth
that the Palletways network stands for:
Hastings Freight has continually championed the
Palletways European service, which is highlighted
by their increasing customer base and consistent
volumes. Their performance in attracting European
business over the past year has been exceptional and
shows that the opportunities for growth are there for
the taking.
They attribute their success to their international
initiatives and building relationships with customers
through tailored customer services.
International Forwarding has shown outstanding
dedication to developing their international business,
and are now recognised as European specialists.
Their growth has coincided with the product
relaunch in early 2013 and the subsequent opening of
the new services to the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
The opportunity for growth was there and they have
seized upon these new opportunities.
Palletways Birmingham's success comes ater their
involvement in sourcing, developing and executing
an opportunity with an international pharmaceutical
chain, which resulted in the largest single job
undertaken by Palletways Europe. The job entailed
62 individual pallets being delivered simultaneously
and on time throughout Germany. This was achieved
seamlessly, with full track and trace capabilities and
to the great satisfaction of the client.
