The Health and Social Care Workforce Research
Study was designed to examine the impact of
providing health and social care during Covid19 on
the wellbeing and quality of working life
of the health and social care workforce in the
UK.
Funding is extended until October 2022 for the HSC COVID-19 Workforce
Wellbeing and Coping Study. The third survey (May-July 2021) is currently in the
process of analysis and the report and executive summary will be available during
September 2021. The fourth survey will go live early November and run until the
end of January, and a final survey will run from May-July 2022.
The research team also conduct focus groups at intervals with managers and
front-line worker. A link to the website with all publications and reports is below.
The local collaborators are Paula McFadden p.mcfadden@ulster.ac.uk and
Patricia Gillian p.gillian@ulster.ac.uk from Ulster University.
An Advisory Group has also been established which includes wide
representation of individuals and organisations from Northern Ireland

Enabling research in care homes:
benefits, challenges and practicalities
Online (Zoom) workshop which will focus on research in care homes
and provide an introduction to ENRICH, an initiative which brings together care
home staff, residents and their families with researchers.
Co-hosted with members of the ENRICH team, the workshop will provide
space for presentation and group discussion about the benefits, challenges
and practicalities of research in care homes.
Who should attend?
It will be of interest to anyone keen to find out more about research in care
homes, including care home workers and researchers.
