35% cross
border
growth
European network
expands into Austria
Palletways Group has reported a phenomenal
growth in cross-border business between the
14 countries it serves in Europe, including the
UK. Volumes are up 35% year-on-year and
the success follows hot on the heels of the
newly launched centralised customer service
in Madrid, as reported in the last issue of
Network News.
Said Rachael Alpha, Managing Director
Palletways Europe GmbH:
"The formation of the new customer service
operation will support the phenomenal growth
we are experiencing for cross border deliveries
across Europe, which has been driven by
continuous service improvements, new
product developments, the extension of our
geographical footprint and business wins with
multi-national businesses."
Providing the service will be a multi-lingual
customer services team, representing the
different European countries served by
Palletways. This means that regardless of
which European country customers are
based in, all they need to do is make one
call to Palletways new customer centre and
they will have someone who can speak their
native tongue.
Palletways has announced a further
development to its existing panEuropean
services with the news
that it has extended its geographical
coverage by offering a full range of
services to and from Austria.
The new Austrian territory brings
Palletways coverage to a total of
14 European countries, further
enhancing its position as Europe's
number one pallet network in the
palletised freight sector.
Rachael Alpha, Managing Director
Palletways Europe GmbH, said:
"The addition of Austria is part
of our wider strategy to steadily
expand our geographical footprint
in Europe and further enhance our
customer offering. It also reinforces
our position as Europe's largest
network for the express distribution
of palletised goods. We do not intend
to stop there; we have more new
launches planned for 2015 on our
journey to being the European Pallet
Network of natural choice."
"These are the result of ongoing
conversations with our customers
across Europe. We are committed
to offering the best pan-European
services and continual innovation
means that more of our customers
will be able to benefit from our proven
service excellence, regardless of the
type of freight being shipped or the
collection/delivery location."
Luis Zubialde, Managing Director
Palletways (UK) Ltd, added:
"The development of the new
Austrian territory is really exciting.
It will open up new opportunities
and international markets for
Palletways in the UK and will
help us support our customers
even further."
