Richmond May What's On 1
Welcome to VisitRichmond's May's edition of the
What's On Brochure which showcases all the wonderful
arts, music, theatre, culture, history and heritage that
Richmond upon Thames has to offer to encourage us all
to #visitlocal and discover what is on our doorstep. This
is just a snap-shot of what is on offer and please visit
www.visitrichmond.co.uk for a more comprehensive list
of events.
This month, the historic house at Marble Hill will reopen, completely
restored by English Heritage thanks to
National Lottery funding, and with its all-but-lost garden
- inspired by those in ancient Rome - reinstated. Home
to Henrietta Howard, Countess of Suffolk, Marble Hill is
one of the last survivors of the 18th-century villas and
gardens that once bordered the Thames. The National
Archives will be hosting After Dark: Nights out in 1920s
London, Artisan Festival at Hampton Court Palace,
Rockin' the Lockin' at The Landmark Arts Centre and Food
Forever at Kew Gardens. Why not enjoy live music, theatre
and art exhibitions and don't forget to #ShopLocal and
support the weekly farmers markets to buy locally grown
and made products.
Do not forget to get your free RichmondCard at
