CAMPAIGN CENTRAL:
ONLINE, ON MESSAGE
Following a successful trial period, Campaign Central - the
marketing portal for Palletways members - has now been
rolled out across the entire network.
The custom built web-based system which enables all members to
quickly and easily create and manage their own marketing campaigns
was trialled by a sample of iteen network members during the second
half of last year.
The roll out included a 30 minute online training session for every
member, who were then provided with personalised log-in details
enabling them to access a whole range of marketing materials and
campaigns containing direct mail, email, advertising and support
print material.
Each campaign contains templates which are specially designed to be
easily branded and personalised by members. Campaign Central also
has response management and campaign measurement tools to enable
members to monitor, measure and improve the efectiveness of their
marketing campaigns and activities.
Once members have created a campaign or piece of marketing
communications for their business they can then save them on their
own dedicated secure area of Campaign Central for repeat use and for
adapting for slightly diferent purposes.
In addition to the templates for dual branded promotions there is also
a ile share area from which sales support materials, photographs,
Powerpoint and iPad presentations can be downloaded for use.
In addition there is a link to help members to more easily and cost
efectively source printing and branded promotional items from
Palletways preferred supplier Graysons.
There's a selection of campaigns already available on the system that
promote our European and domestic services, our key diferentiators
and our service excellence.
In development is a suite of mailers and emailers to help members
to promote various key features of the Digital Information Hub.
There are also quarterly campaigns planned for the Spring, Summer
Autumn and Winter.
Kristie Hawkins, Customer Service Manager at Palletways Birmingham, said:
"The beauty of Campaign Central is that it is so easy to get to grips with.
We'll be using it to reach existing customers for country-speciic campaigns
and to target new business prospects or lapsed/down-trading customers."
Hailey Cockrane, Commercial
Manager at H&M Distribution
Limited, said:
"We're looking forward to
producing point of sale material
and reaping the rewards as
we work hard to boost brand
awareness in our area."
Marketing Executive, Katie
Lawton, concluded:
"Regular promotions are
planned and the ability to
dual brand will enable us to
drive increased awareness
of Palletways and members
brands and generate new
business."

personalised marketing campaigns
"A structured ten-year ring-fenced plan which would provide a
sensible framework so the industry can invest with confidence.
Specifically, improvements to the infrastructure surrounding major
trunk routes to accommodate the vehicles of the future, the provision
of safer, cleaner working conditions for the LGV sector, incentives
for small and medium sized firms to locate to new business parks
to provide a better framework to support logistics and financial
incentives for those investing in the recruitment of long-term staff."

The countdown is well underway to the 2015 UK General
Election with the two main political parties more or less
neck-and-neck in the polls.
Palletways spoke to its members about the issues affecting
the logistics industry and asked what policies they'd like to
see a newly elected Government introduce.
Political fuel for thought
BALLOT
"We need assurances that the Government will implement a strategy
to improve the infrastructure of the British road system. I'd like to see
the HGV levy for UK registered vehicles reduced and a sliding scale for
non-registered UK vehicles, with vehicles outside the EC paying more
than those in it."
Kelvin Jones, Business Development Director
"Reduce the amount of work we have to do to collect taxes on the
Government's behalf. We all have more to do with the introduction of
new pension regulations later this year. I feel we spend far too much
time and money doing the Government's work."
Alan Hastings, Managing Director
Pantone CMYK
"The UK Government has the highest taxation of any sovereign
nation so fuel taxation needs to be addressed."
"Employment laws also need attention. Employers' rights are being
eroded and I feel this is affecting the will and appetite for those who
want to expand to employ 'unionised' labour. I'd also like to see an
increase in training and growth funds."
"The UK Highway authorities should be given more power to intercept
European HGVs as I fear many don't comply with our stringent
Driver Certificate of Professional Competence and Health & Safety
regulations."
Dr. Attia, Chairman
"There should be a duty rebate scheme for all Fleet Operator
Recognition Scheme (FORS) approved logistics companies. I also believe
duty paid on fuel should be clearly shown on all receipts/invoices."
Richard Triolo, Managing Director
