Get in the Club
Join the Palletways Business Club and enjoy
the benefits
Palletways Business Clubs continue
to meet on a regular basis throughout
the year providing an excellent forum
for members to network, share their
experiences, discuss business related
issues and socialise. Club membership
is free to all members and there are now
two clubs in existence, the first having
become oversubscribed necessitating
the formation of a second club.
Business Club meetings are hosted by a
member at their business on a Thursday
afternoon with discussions on hot topics
and a tour of their facilities followed
by an informal dinner in the evening
at a local hotel. The following morning
presentations on key issues are given
by business and industry experts.
By the time you read this, Business Club 2
will have been hosted at the Fradley Hub
by Palletways Operations Director Mike
Harrison on 5th and 6th of March where
the latest hub developments and getting
better value from insurance companies
were two of the aspects covered.
The upcoming Business Club 1 will
meet on the 18th and 19th of March and
will be hosted by Richard Allan, Member
Principal of the Pink Link where the
agenda will include a presentation on
selling skills and a management skills
development workshop.
Each club meets three times per year
and since the formation of the original
club back in 2001 meetings have been
held across the UK and in Italy, Holland
and Spain.
Kelvin Jones, Business Development
Director at Transland International
UK Ltd, is a supporter. He said:
"The Business Club gives members the
opportunity to share ideas so that the
member network can learn from each
others success. We also pay particular
attention to overhead costs and how
these can be reduced.
"Sharing ideas and processes is a good way
for each of us to learn - no one individual
or business has all the solutions and I have
been able to incorporate ideas from other
members into our business. Similarly,
I hope others have benefited from the
contributions I have made.
"More members in the Business
Club will create more opportunities so
that we can all learn how to perform
better in business."
