Palletways' glowing reputation has captured the attention of a major new client, as it
has secured a three year contract with The Yankee Candle Company to distribute its
products across Europe. The world-famous candle company has a growing reputation
in Europe and was searching for a logistics company to support its development as it
looked to step up its activity following the development of its 170,000 sq ft headquarters
in Avonmouth - just up the road from Palletways member John T Evans.

NETWORK NEWS
Dear all,
In our last issue I said that 2014 would
be a year for positivity and growth, and
I am delighted to say that is proving
that to be a very accurate prediction.
Over the past 12 months Palletways
has recorded record volumes of pallets
entering the network across Europe.
In fact, following the introduction
of new services between our major
European Hubs, the network handled
one pallet every second over the past
year. This is a real achievement and
I wish to thank everyone involved in
making the last year such a success.

New Deal Burns Bright
20 Years
Of Success
May 1994 holds a special place in
history. It is the month that the Channel
Tunnel opened, following seven years
construction, inally connecting the UK
with mainland Europe ater thousands of
years of separation; Nelson Mandela was
inaugurated as South Africa's irst black
President; and Palletways was founded,
laying the foundations for a marketleading
pan-European network.
It's amazing how much can change in
20 years, and Palletways can certainly
be proud of its success story. Starting
with just 32 founding members, the
Palletways network handled just 660
pallets in the first week and 46,000
pallets in its inaugural year. Today,
however, the network handles more
than 30,000 pallets every day across its
300 depots and 13 European countries.
